Why PCC exists

Protect Cherry County began with public questions about a local livestock permit. It now collects records about water, land, and county decisions so residents can read the evidence for themselves. PCC has an interest in protecting local water and land. That purpose does not establish the outcome of any investigation.

How we describe evidence

Documented record

A dated document, measurement, or decision. We identify the source and what it actually establishes.

Agency statement

What an agency says. A statement is attributed to that agency, especially when another record differs.

PCC analysis

An explanation or comparison. We identify the evidence and the limits of the interpretation.

Open question

An answer that needs more records or technical review. A missing record in our files is not proof that it does not exist.

Corrections belong beside the facts

Send the page link, the statement, and the supporting source to sunsetelliott@gmail.com. We will review the source, correct supported errors, and record substantive changes in the update log.

Conflicting records stay visible until the difference is resolved. We do not infer motives, blame, contamination sources, or legal violations from a missing document or a planning entry.

What this edition covers

This edition reviewed the seven main public pages, their linked downloads, selected primary sources, and agency correspondence through September 30. It does not certify that every agency docket is complete or that every later record has been received. The site is not an official water advisory or an agency compliance determination.
